Three Amazing Women

The history of Islamic intolerance, oppression, and injustice, is long and bloody especially when dealing with non-Muslims. Tens of thousands are murdered each year in the name of the religion of peace. Hundreds of honor killings now take place in western countries every year. There isn’t much new in this tone was set by the “perfect man”, Mohammed and has continued ever since. What is relatively new is the tendency of western countries to look the other way and deny Islamic atrocities, while actually blaming western culture for Islam’s despicable nature. Worse it’s politically incorrect to even stand up for the superiority of our own western civilization.

While there are thousand stories like those mentioned by MK, I wanted to bring two more to your attention, courtesy of Jihadwatch.org. Both concern Christian converts from Islam. The first is a story that has been going on for some time now and concerns two Iranian converts, Maryam Rustampoor and Marzieh Amirizadeh. They have been held in Iranian prison and subjected to mistreatment because of their conversion. Their bravery has been astounding, but just as amazing is their ability to stand up to their tormenters even after all these months in prison under threat of death as shown in this report a recent “court” hearing.

In a dramatic session before the revolutionary court this past weekend,
documented by Elam Ministries, Maryam Rustampoor (27) and Marzieh Amirizadeh
(30) were told to recant their faith in Christ. Though great pressure was put on
them, both women have refused to give in. Maryam and Marzieh were originally
arrested on March 5, 2009 and have suffered greatly while in prison, suffering
ill health, solitary confinement and interrogations for many hours while
blindfolded. In a dramatic court room, the deputy prosecutor, Mr. Haddad,
questioned Maryam and Marzieh about their faith and told them that they had to
recant in both verbal and written form. They responded, "We will not deny our
faith."

As the questioning continued, Maryam and Marzieh made
reference to their belief that God had convicted them through the Holy
Spirit.

Mr. Haddad told them, "It is impossible for God to speak
with humans." Marzieh asked him in return, "Are you questioning whether God is
Almighty?" Mr. Haddad then replied, "You are not worthy for God to speak to
you." Marzieh said, "It is God, and not you, who determines if I am
worthy."

In the eyes of the court, Maryam and Marzieh's only crime
was their conversion to Christianity, but these young women have stayed strong
and clung to their faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. They are now
in prison awaiting their verdict.
Although the Iranian Parliament has not yet
passed a threatened new apostasy bill, over the last 20 years Iran has punished
many converts to Christianity through torture, imprisonment, and extrajudicial
killings. Please pray for these courageous women of God.

The second is the story from the United States of Rifqa Bary, a 17 year old convert who had the good sense to run away from home after her parents found out about her conversion. (Many haven’t left home or agreed to return only to pay with their lives.) Unfortunately, the parents are asking that a Florida court force her to return home. Watch this amazing interview of the young lady on youtube.com. Rifqa attempts to explain to the news reporter that her life is in danger and that she can't go back home. If you can’t play the movie, it can also be viewed on the August 11th posting on www.jihadwatch.org.

At times the interviewer appears clueless as Rifqa attempts to explain her life is in danger. Hopefully, the court won’t be blinded by political correctness and will act to save this young ladies life. It's amazing that a court in a free country would even consider this.

Remember these brave young women; there are thousands more like them, whose lives are threatened by a religion that can only survive through intimidation and murder. No wonder Islamists fear freedom and democracy.
