Oprah biased, CodePink stuck on stupid and America helping where she can

FOX News - "The item in today’s Drudge Report is categorically untrue," Winfrey said in a statement sent to news organizations in reaction to the DrudgeReport.com posting. "There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over." ...... That said, Winfrey used her show to introduce Barack Obama to America's women voters, and has endorsed and campaigned with the Democratic nominee. She also was very visible at Obama's acceptance speech last week in Denver. ...... Oprah last year blocked an appearance by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, timed to a promotional tour of his autobiography.
On the plus side she's not a racist, she's just a leftist, it's safe to assume she's not against Palin because of her skin color since she denied Clarence Thomas a go as well. In my books it's alright Oprah, you don't have to have everyone on your show, just stop pretending that you're not taking sides or something, just be open about it and confirm what many already think, that you're a weepy leftist, crying your eyelashes off over B. Hussein. Oh and just admit that to you, some womens' rights are more equal, that only left-leaning women should be allowed out of the kitchen.

The next story is for the CodePink morons who were desperately trying to muzzle the right of fellow Americans to speak at the Republican National Convention.
FOX News - Gen. David Petraeus has recommended the withdrawal of 7,500 to 8,000 U.S. troops from Iraq between now and mid-January, according to a senior U.S. military official familiar with Petraeus' recommendations to the president. ...... U.S. generals in Iraq have been calling for a troop reduction in areas where security has been established, such as Anbar province, control of which was handed over Iraqi forces Monday. ...... U.S. generals have called for the removals from Iraq to free up more troops for potential redeployment in Afghanistan.
You are getting what you want you morons, if you could just stop screaming you might just hear/read about it. They are coming home and no, they are not carrying the last barrels of oil out of Iraq. Your angry fantasies have been blown to pieces, it wasn't an actual occupation, rather a liberation and now they are leaving not staying on to crush the country further into the dirt. To boot, they are coming home in victory, perhaps that's what grates so much with CodePink.

In other news, one again the imperialistic, cruel, war mongering, blood thirsty America of leftist fantasies is helping where it can, again.
Reuters - The United States has offered to help Cuban victims of Hurricane Gustav by sending aid through relief organizations instead of the government of President Raul Castro, the State Department said on Friday. ...... She said the chief of the U.S. Interests Section in Havana had some $100,000 available to help Cubans affected by Saturday's storm. The Cubans had been told that the Americans were prepared to "work through appropriate non-governmental organizations to deliver relief as quickly and directly as possible to assist Cubans affected by Hurricane Gustav," Bronke said.

The State Department said that $100,000 in emergency U.S. funds had been released to help the Jamaican government in hurricane relief efforts, and a flight with relief for storm victims had been sent to Kingston on Thursday. The same amount had been authorized in U.S. aid for Haiti, and U.S. Agency for International Development personnel were on the ground in both Jamaica and Haiti to assess damage and determine if there are additional needs, State Department spokesman Robert Wood said. The United States has also authorized $50,000 to support relief efforts in the Dominican Republic, Wood said.

News.com.au - The USS Mount Whitney, a sophisticated command warship based in Italy, is the third US vessel to arrive on the Georgian coast with humanitarian aid for tens of thousands displaced by the conflict over Georgia's breakaway South Ossetia. ...... The USS McFaul and a US Coast Guard vessel delivered aid last month at Batumi, Georgia's largest port south of Poti, prompting Russian accusations of a military buildup. ...... A US Navy statement said Mount Whitney would deliver more than 17 tons of aid, including blaknets, juice, powdered milk and hygiene products.
The last one about aid to Georgia is not just to deliver aid. You don't need a warship to deliver aid, it's a way of stopping by and checking up on things, a sort of, what's happening Ivan, just in the neighborhood so we thought we'd stop by and say 'hi'. We've decided we like the weather around these parts and we ain't got much to do back in Italy so we've decided to hang around for a while and help the Georgians with whatever they need. Oh Ivan, funny story we'd like to share with you, you know that old guy back home running for President, he's old-school Navy and if he gets the top job, he'd really hate for something bad to happen to us while we're visiting here. We'd really hate that too and just so you know, we decided not to leave our fancy guns at home.
