Can’t trust em

These leftists will not stop until everyone has been reduced to a battler, they always go on about battlers and ‘working families’ but their policies only ensure you remain a battler or a ‘working’ family all your life.
Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on Thursday warned he would nationalize the country's banks and largest steel producer if they persist with what he described as unscrupulous practices. Chavez's threat did not seem to signal an imminent takeover but rather appeared aimed at strong-arming the businesses to contribute more to local industry as he made a wide-ranging speech promising that Venezuela was headed for a classless society.

"Private banks have to give priority to financing the industrial sectors of Venezuela at low cost," Chavez said. "If banks don't agree with this, it's better that they go, that they turn over the banks to me, that we nationalize them and get all the banks to work for the development of the country and not to speculate and produce huge profits."
Stupid Chavez doesn’t understand that all the wealth that he is so eager to share has to come from somewhere. Instead of promoting the hard policies of helping the poor to become rich this fool screws the rich so the poor will have no incentive to better their lot.

A classless society indeed, as an example, instead of having 10 rich, 20 middle-class and 70 poor, lets have 10 rich (Chavez and his cronies) and 90 all poor, but I guess technically it’ll be a ‘classless’ society. While I’m on the subject of socialists or leftists, don’t ask me what the difference is, down here in Australia it appears Kevin Rudd’s biggest problem is his own deputy.
RELATIONS between Labor and its hand-picked business adviser, Rod Eddington, have further soured after Julia Gillard described the corporate titan as "just another voice". The latest setback came as Kevin Rudd was forced to take direct control of Labor's battle to regain the confidence of the business sector, which is furious about the party's industrial relations policies.

But the Opposition Leader's attempt to woo business was immediately undermined after his deputy downplayed the influence that Sir Rod would have over Labor's alternative industrial policy.
First the bullying fool threatens business to back off or else, after they don’t consult with Eddington on their IR policy, then had to back down and hide the cudgel, and now dismisses their only hope of getting some approval of their anti-Business policies from within their own team.

Oh dear, whatever will Rudd do, can’t really ‘let go’ of her because he might then be accused of unfair dismissal and sexism and also risk another Latham/Combet type teary tantrum just before the election.

The PM sends his sincere thanks.
